Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Bishopton's Rod Kean played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hamish Appleton in the 4th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hamish Appleton in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rod Kean saved Bishopton from getting behind. In the 22nd minute Gus Hardie shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Peter McHarold saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Bishopton's Grant McKellaig got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Bishopton's Rod Kean played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hamish Appleton in the 24th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Nicol McDaid managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bishopton's supporters rose to their feet, but Nicol McDaid was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Peter McHarold breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rod Kean made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rick Smith in the 31st minute of play. When Rick Smith came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Campbeltown City fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rick Smith couldn't finish the play. Gus Hardie recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bishopton's Rod Kean played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hamish Appleton in the 43rd minute of play. Grant McKellaig received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Peter McHarold tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rick Smith stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Rick Smith came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Campbeltown City fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rick Smith couldn't finish the play. After 58 played minutes Campbeltown City got a freekick which was hit by Rick Smith. Peter McHarold stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nicol McDaid's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Campbeltown City's zone, Gus Hardie stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Peter McHarold came out of the goal and Gus Hardie tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 71 minutes into the game, Grant McLymont was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bishopton's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Campbeltown City the free kick. In the 71st match minute, Bishopton was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Grant McLymont to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hamish Appleton got free with Rod Kean in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Hamish Appleton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 93 played minutes Bishopton got a freekick which was hit by Grant McKellaig. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
