Spectators: 6774 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1774, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Gus Hardie started the match with the kick off. In the 5th minute the ball was on its way in behind Canonbie's goalkeeper Davie Carson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Rod Kean made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gary McCrae in the 8th minute. Wal Dyce sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 14 minutes into the game, Gary McCrae cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Rod Kean was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 20th match minute, Bishopton was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Grant McKellaig to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot by Gary McPatrick from long distance, 20 minutes into the match, got Rod Kean's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Troy Abrahams kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Canonbie's Gary McPatrick couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Bishopton. If Nicol McDaid had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bishopton's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Wal Dyce 30 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-0. Davie Carson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nicol McDaid, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 35 minutes of play, Canonbie's Gary McCrae made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rod Kean was left in no man's land by his defense there! Nicol McDaid fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Davie Carson having to interfere. Davie Carson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gus Hardie in the 42nd minute of the match. Nicol McDaid sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nicol McDaid received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Davie Carson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Wal Dyce stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Wal Dyce fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rod Kean having to interfere. 57 minutes into the game, Grant McLymont was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bishopton's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Canonbie the free kick. Taylor McGrowther hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Davie Carson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nicol McDaid in the 76th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gary McCrae in the 77th minute of play forced Bishopton's goalkeeper Rod Kean to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Grant McKellaig charged in rather forcefully in the 80th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Grant McKellaig the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Grant McKellaig kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. In the 81st minute of the match Gary McPatrick sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rod Kean skillfully saved the ball. Taylor McGrowther kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. 83 minutes into the match, Bishopton's goal looked a bit too open when Wal Dyce came free, but Rod Kean reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind Canonbie's goalkeeper Davie Carson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 87th minute, Canonbie's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Nicol McDaid fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Davie Carson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gus Hardie, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Davie Carson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gus Hardie in the 93rd minute of the match. For all the effort they put into the match, the Bishopton players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Canonbie.
