Spectators: 7810 (Terracing: 5859, Seating: 1796, VIP seats: 155) Kelso's Bradley McLaren started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Luke McAusland fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Shane Gray having to interfere. In the 9th minute Bradley McLaren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kyle Doles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kyle Doles showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bradley McLaren in the 11th minute of the match. Rangers F.C.'s Ricky Fletcher suffered a sore thigh after 20 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Gareth Nish charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gareth Nish the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 21 played minutes Kelso got a freekick which was hit by Gareth Nish. 26 minutes into the match, Daniel McSporran notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Rangers F.C.'s Kyle Doles. Kyle Doles was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Bradley McLaren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Kyle Doles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Daniel McSporran sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 36 minutes into the match, Rangers F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Bradley McLaren came free, but Kyle Doles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 42nd match minute, Rangers F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Henry Haws to maneuver through the defense. In the 43rd minute of the match Gareth Nish sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Kyle Doles skillfully saved the ball. Bradley McLaren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kyle Doles having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Luke McAusland made a kick off. In the 52nd minute, Dougal Davison got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bradley McLaren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Kyle Doles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 56 minutes into the match, Kelso's Daniel McSporran sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kyle Doles narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Kelso's Bradley McLaren managed to work through Rangers F.C.'s defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Bradley McLaren dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. After 60 played minutes Bradley McLaren rounded Rangers F.C.'s defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-2. Bradley McLaren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Kyle Doles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Adam Acton kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. A collision led to Rangers F.C. getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Adam Acton hit a great ball. Timothy Airlie tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Kyle Doles. An unnecessary self made goal, 0-3 in the 70th minute. Luke McAusland received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Shane Gray tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kyle Doles came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by Kelso's Daniel McSporran. But to his dismay, Daniel McSporran quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. In the 83rd minute Bradley McLaren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kyle Doles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Kelso's Bradley McLaren slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Kyle Doles. That made the score 0-5 after 85 minutes of play. After a rather tough play, Rangers F.C.'s Nicholas McQuey got a free kick in the 88th minute. A well-hit corner resulted in Martin Yule heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Kelso played a much better game than Rangers F.C. and deserved their victory. The Rangers F.C. players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
