Spectators: 6785 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1785, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Ciaran McRobb made the kick off which started today's match. After 4 minutes, Jeremy Bean mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Shanklin FC and the Lasswade players grew even worse after the yellow card. Harry Dempster sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Shanklin FC's Brian Webster got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lasswade's Greg Bunten proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Lasswade from getting a goal against them. In the 26th minute, Gareth Carlyle got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Harry Dempster had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tony Nelson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ciaran McRobb, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. After a rather tough play, Lasswade's Harry Dempster got a free kick in the 31st minute. Tony Nelson came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by Lasswade's Ciaran McRobb. But to his dismay, Ciaran McRobb quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 37th minute Ciaran McRobb shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tony Nelson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tony Nelson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ciaran McRobb, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

The wind increased when Brian Webster made the kick off in the second half. The corner ended in Richard Duffus almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Lasswade's Greg Bunten did a great save. Richard Duffus charged in rather forcefully in the 57th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Richard Duffus the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Richard Duffus hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Keith Millar's long shot made the audience stand up and applaude when it rumbled by Tony Nelson on his right side and into the goal. 59 minutes into the game it was 0-2. Greg Bunten didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dougal Toward went, in the 68th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ciaran McRobb in the 72nd minute of play forced Shanklin FC's goalkeeper Tony Nelson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Lasswade's Dylan McCraw got a free kick in the 74th minute. Greg Bunten showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dougal Toward in the 78th minute of the match. Shanklin FC's Brian Webster got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Shanklin FC's Brian Webster in the 85th minute got a chance for a shot 85th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Lasswade's goalie prevented a goal. After having played for 86 minutes, Brian Webster managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Shanklin FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Brian Webster was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Steve Campbell kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. In the 93rd minute Ciaran McRobb shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tony Nelson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
