Seating: 1808, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Bradley McLaren started the match with the kick off. Shane Gray showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guy May in the 6th minute of the match. 13 minutes into the match, Kelso's goal looked a bit too open when Guy May came free, but Shane Gray reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Guy May got free in front of the goal in the 15th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Shane Gray was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Bembridge's Nicholas McHendrie got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gus Mitchell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bradley McLaren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 41 minutes Bembridge's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gareth Nish who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Gareth Nish got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Gus Mitchell quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Bradley McLaren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Gus Mitchell tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The wind increased when Guy May made the kick off in the second half. Kelso's Daniel McSporran got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nicholas McHendrie received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Shane Gray tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Guy May sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Guy May in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Shane Gray prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ricky Porter's late challenge caught a Kelso's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ricky Porter helped the player get up and apologised. After 80 played minutes Bembridge got a freekick which was hit by Ricky Porter. Guy May recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Guy May fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Shane Gray having to interfere. After 96 minutes, Lee Mark mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kelso and the Bembridge players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 96 played minutes Kelso got a freekick which was hit by Lee Mark.
