Spectators: 7805 (Terracing: 5855, Seating: 1795, VIP seats: 155) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when James Cunningham kicked off to start the match. Bradley McLaren scored 0-1 in the 3rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ricky Yuill, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. James Cunningham spun around in front of the goal 7 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Kelso's goal. After 16 minutes of play, Kelso's Bradley McLaren made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ricky Yuill was left in no man's land by his defense there! Daniel McSporran recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 24th minute Bradley McLaren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricky Yuill saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Daniel McSporran came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Kelso fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel McSporran couldn't finish the play. Frank Duffus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dean Moore's late challenge caught a Stirling Football Club's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dean Moore helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Stirling Football Club getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Martin Finlayson hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bradley McLaren in the 38th minute of play forced Stirling Football Club's goalkeeper Ricky Yuill to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dean Moore got his second yellow card in the match during the 39th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Dean Moore kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Shane Gray made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from James Cunningham in the 43rd minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Stirling Football Club's Frank Duffus slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Shane Gray. That made the score 1-2 after 46 minutes of play.

The wind increased when Daniel McSporran made the kick off in the second half. Shane Gray showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from James Cunningham in the 52nd minute of the match. Ricky Yuill stood somewhat misplaced when Daniel McSporran came free in front of goal and shot 1-3 to the left of him in the 55 minute. With a little luck, Stirling Football Club's Ricky Yuill got control of the ball when Daniel McSporran tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Frank Duffus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If James Cunningham had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, James Cunningham managed to get in a good position for a shot. Stirling Football Club's supporters rose to their feet, but James Cunningham was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Shane Gray breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Kelso's Dougal Davison got a free kick in the 92nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Kelso's zone, James Cunningham stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Shane Gray came out of the goal and James Cunningham tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Frank Duffus struck a weak shot in the 97th minute. Shane Gray didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Stirling Football Club. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Kelso had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
