When Thomas Fyfe came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the Aberdeen FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Thomas Fyfe couldn't finish the play. Thomas Fyfe recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Aberdeen FC's Thomas Fyfe got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Raymond McCammond's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 32ndth minute, Gus McKelvie skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. When Kenneth Jameson, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 37 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Rick Suttie was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Rick Suttie made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kenneth Jameson in the 44th minute of play. Rick Suttie showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Malcolm McKinley, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. 48 minutes into the match, Loanhead AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Thomas Fyfe came free, but Gus McKelvie reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Thomas Fyfe was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Malcolm McKinley managed to get in a good position for a shot. Loanhead AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Malcolm McKinley was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rick Suttie breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rick Suttie made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kenneth Jameson in the 56th minute of play. With a little luck, Aberdeen FC's Rick Suttie got control of the ball when Malcolm McKinley tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Loanhead AFC's Kenneth Jameson got a free kick in the 60th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raymond McCammond in the 68th minute of play forced Loanhead AFC's goalkeeper Gus McKelvie to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gus McKelvie showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thomas Fyfe, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. After some careless play in the Aberdeen FC defense, Malcolm McKinley kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rick Suttie. The Aberdeen FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rick Suttie should have stopped the shot. Kenneth Jameson struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Rick Suttie didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Loanhead AFC. Gus McKelvie showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raymond McCammond, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. 91 minutes into the game, Aberdeen FC's Raymond McCammond nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gus McKelvie made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
