Spectators: 6777 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1777, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ivan Gilfillan started the match with the kick off. A hard shot 7 in the game by Greg Dowe from a close distance when the talented Phillip Donachie managed to make a qualified save. House Of Cards FC's players were relieved. Lewis McGugan might have been able to make a better finish in the 9th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Theo McSween. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lewis McGugan ran back to his position shaking his head. If Lewis McGugan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Norman Corstorphine hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. In the 17th minute of the match Nigel Lonie shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Phillip Donachie showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 18 played minutes House Of Cards FC got a freekick which was hit by Norman Corstorphine. Theo McSween showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tony McCorry, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Lewis McGugan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Michael McPetrie fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored House Of Cards FC's protests and gave Michael McPetrie a yellow card for diving instead. After 25 played minutes House Of Cards FC got a freekick which was hit by Michael McPetrie. Michael McPetrie hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Ivan Gilfillan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Phillip Donachie tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Greg Dowe struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Phillip Donachie didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tarbert FC. If Greg Dowe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tony McCorry received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Theo McSween tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ivan Gilfillan in the 43rd minute of play forced House Of Cards FC's goalkeeper Phillip Donachie to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Tarbert FC's Quentin McBride got a free kick in the 46th minute. Tony McCorry fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Theo McSween having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

After 53 minutes of play, Tarbert FC's Greg Dowe made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Phillip Donachie was left in no man's land by his defense there! Tony McCorry received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Theo McSween tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lewis McGugan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Theo McSween having to interfere. Phillip Donachie showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ivan Gilfillan in the 66th minute of the match. 70 minutes into the match, Tarbert FC's Quentin McBride sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Phillip Donachie narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Tony McCorry sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpected shot in the 84th minute by Lewis McGugan got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 86 minutes into the game, Robert McMinn was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tarbert FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave House Of Cards FC the free kick. After 86 played minutes Tarbert FC got a freekick which was hit by Robert McMinn. After having played for 87 minutes, Tony McCorry managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. House Of Cards FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tony McCorry was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lewis McGugan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Theo McSween tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 93 minutes into the game, Ivan Gilfillan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Phillip Donachie was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Tarbert FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while House Of Cards FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
