Spectators: 6778 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1778, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Tony McCorry got the match started through his kick off. After 3 played minutes Linlithgow AFC got a freekick which was hit by Ricky Cleland. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Michael McPetrie during the 5th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to House Of Cards FC getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Michael McPetrie hit a great ball. Innes Swanson scored 1-0 in the 6th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Phillip Donachie, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. House Of Cards FC's Phillip Donachie played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tim Lawrence in the 11th minute of play. Ricky Swanson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lewis McGugan in the 15th minute of the match. A collision led to Linlithgow AFC getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Marc McAlduie hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Linlithgow AFC's zone, Tony McCorry stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ricky Swanson came out of the goal and Tony McCorry tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tony McCorry sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 25th minute, Oliver McGruder hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Innes Swanson took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Phillip Donachie. Phillip Donachie dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tony McCorry in the 30th minute of play forced Linlithgow AFC's goalkeeper Ricky Swanson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Innes Swanson took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Phillip Donachie. Phillip Donachie dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Tim Lawrence recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Innes Swanson's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 38thth minute, Phillip Donachie skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 38th match minute, House Of Cards FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Norman Corstorphine to maneuver through the defense. Tony McCorry might have been able to make a better finish in the 44th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ricky Swanson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tony McCorry ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, Linlithgow AFC's Jeremy McGilvra got a free kick in the 45th minute. Linlithgow AFC's Ricky Swanson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lewis McGugan in the 47th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tim Lawrence made a kick off. Linlithgow AFC's Tim Lawrence got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ricky Swanson made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Lewis McGugan sent off a good shot on target. House Of Cards FC's Phillip Donachie played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tim Lawrence in the 63rd minute of play. In the 64th minute, Norman Corstorphine hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 65th minute of the match Ian Roy shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Phillip Donachie showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When Innes Swanson came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Linlithgow AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Innes Swanson couldn't finish the play. In the 71st minute Tim Lawrence shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Phillip Donachie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 73 minutes into the match, Tim Lawrence notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of House Of Cards FC's Phillip Donachie. Phillip Donachie was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Innes Swanson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Phillip Donachie having to interfere. In the 85th minute Innes Swanson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Phillip Donachie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ricky Swanson came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by House Of Cards FC's Tony McCorry. But to his dismay, Tony McCorry quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. Tim Lawrence blasted a shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Phillip Donachie having to make a save. Innes Swanson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Linlithgow AFC fans cheered their team off the field, for while House Of Cards FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
