Spectators: 6782 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1782, VIP seats: 0) Invergarry's Hugh McRury started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Keith McCaishe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Connor McCaul sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Danny McPherson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Keith McCaishe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Invergarry booed when Lochwinnoch United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jim McBurie didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Connor McCaul managed to get in a good position for a shot. Invergarry's supporters rose to their feet, but Connor McCaul was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Guy McKinlay breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Connor McCaul received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Guy McKinlay tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 24 played minutes Lochwinnoch United got a freekick which was hit by Mike McEachan. Danny McPherson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bob Cameron in the 27th minute of play. 32 minutes into the match, Samuel Davenport notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Invergarry's Danny McPherson. Danny McPherson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Samuel Davenport received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Danny McPherson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Guy McKinlay showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hugh McRury in the 39th minute of the match. Connor McCaul recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Samuel Davenport in the 43rd minute of play forced Invergarry's goalkeeper Danny McPherson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Samuel Davenport was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to Invergarry getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Graeme Kennethson hit a great ball. Connor McCaul took the ball and in the 58 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Guy McKinlay. Guy McKinlay dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Keith McCaishe recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 66 played minutes Invergarry got a freekick which was hit by Harold Foster. In the 69thth minute of the game Hugh McRury who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lochwinnoch United's Guy McKinlay was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 78th minute, Jim McBurie hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hugh McRury in the 79th minute of play forced Lochwinnoch United's goalkeeper Guy McKinlay to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Samuel Davenport came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Lochwinnoch United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Samuel Davenport couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Connor McCaul in the 87th minute of play forced Lochwinnoch United's goalkeeper Guy McKinlay to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 97 minutes, Connor McCaul managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Invergarry's supporters crossed their fingers, but Connor McCaul was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
