The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Gordon McHarold had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Gus Hobson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Saint Johnstone FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gus Hobson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lewis Crozier breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lewis Crozier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gus Hobson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Miles McColman hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Dominic McKinven showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Charles McLarty in the 14th minute of the match. Saint Johnstone FC's Blair McGuffie couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 24th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Seaview. In the 27th minute, Charles McLarty got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Charles McLarty recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Gus Hobson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Henry McCarter in the 51st minute of play forced Seaview's goalkeeper Lewis Crozier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 54 minutes into the match, Jamie Dunnachie notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Saint Johnstone FC's Dominic McKinven. Dominic McKinven was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 58 minutes into the match, Saint Johnstone FC's goal looked a bit too open when Charles McLarty came free, but Dominic McKinven reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Jamie Dunnachie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lewis Crozier made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Gordon McHarold sent off a good shot on target. Dominic McKinven showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Charles McLarty, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. If Jamie Dunnachie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Gordon McHarold had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Charles McLarty fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dominic McKinven having to interfere. If Jamie Dunnachie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jamie Dunnachie sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Seaview's Charles McLarty in the 92nd minute got a chance for a shot 92nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Saint Johnstone FC's goalie prevented a goal. Gus Hobson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lewis Crozier having to interfere. Saint Johnstone FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
