Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ronnie Ogilvy started the match with the kick off. Joe Grieve made a fantastic save in the 3rd minute, when Norman Ayres sent off a good shot on target. In the 6th minute Ronnie Ogilvy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Max McKelvie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Timothy Arrol sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Joe Grieve made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Timothy Arrol sent off a good shot on target. Ronnie Ogilvy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Max McKelvie tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 18th minute Jacob McKinning shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Max McKelvie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Inverurie Locos's Max McKelvie played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jacob McKinning in the 23rd minute of play. After 24 played minutes Nathan Connelly rounded Campbeltown's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-0. Timothy Arrol received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Joe Grieve tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nathan Connelly received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Joe Grieve came out and tried to block the shot, but Nathan Connelly slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 34th minute. Max McKelvie made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jacob McKinning in the 38th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jacob McKinning in the 38th minute of play forced Inverurie Locos's goalkeeper Max McKelvie to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Nathan Connelly fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Inverurie Locos's protests and gave Nathan Connelly a yellow card for diving instead. In the 40th match minute, Inverurie Locos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nathan Connelly to maneuver through the defense. Dean Russell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Max McKelvie having to interfere. Max McKelvie took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ronnie Ogilvy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Timothy Arrol managed to get in a good position for a shot. Inverurie Locos's supporters rose to their feet, but Timothy Arrol was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joe Grieve breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Nathan Connelly made the kick off in the second half. Joe Grieve made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nathan Connelly in the 53rd minute of play. A collision led to Inverurie Locos getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Aiden McTear hit a great ball. 60 minutes into the match, Inverurie Locos's goalkeeper Max McKelvie had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jacob McKinning. Campbeltown's Jacob McKinning got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Ronnie Ogilvy kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Max McKelvie. That made the score 3-1 in the 64 minute of play. Ronnie Ogilvy was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 73rd minute. Campbeltown's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. The supporters of Inverurie Locos booed when Campbeltown was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Josh McRory didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nathan Connelly fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joe Grieve having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Timothy Arrol's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Joe Grieve was relentless in the 82nd minute of the game. In the 83rd minute Nathan Connelly shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joe Grieve saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jacob McKinning sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Ronnie Ogilvy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jacob McKinning's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 88thth minute, Max McKelvie skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After 91 minutes of play, Campbeltown's Ronnie Ogilvy made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Max McKelvie was left in no man's land by his defense there!
