The supporters of Seaview booed when Perth was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Charles Fleming didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Wayne Beaton in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lewis Crozier prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Charles McLarty managed to get in a good position for a shot. Seaview's supporters rose to their feet, but Charles McLarty was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bob McIlvain breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 25th minute, Jamie Dunnachie got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Charles McLarty stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jamie Dunnachies short, quick shot in the 96thth minute got Bob McIlvain to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
