Spectators: 6770 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1770, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Charles McLarty started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd match minute, Seaview was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adrian McGilvernock to maneuver through the defense. In the 10th minute the ball was on its way in behind Edinburgh Pirates AFC's goalkeeper Joshua McGruer, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 15 played minutes, Edinburgh Pirates AFC's Darius Ainslie shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Lewis Crozier came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Edinburgh Pirates AFC reached it. After a rather tough play, Edinburgh Pirates AFC's John Wass got a free kick in the 22nd minute. In the 27th minute, Dominic Hallyard got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Seaview's Ken McShannachan got a free kick in the 28th minute. Calum Copeland fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lewis Crozier having to interfere. Charles McLarty received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Joshua McGruer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Seaview were furious when Nigel Michie was red carded, 49 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Jeremy Bowman walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post.

Timmy Gilroy charged in rather forcefully in the 60th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Timmy Gilroy the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 61 played minutes Seaview got a freekick which was hit by Timmy Gilroy. 65 minutes into the game, Adrian McGilvernock was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Seaview's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Edinburgh Pirates AFC the free kick. The supporters of Edinburgh Pirates AFC booed when Seaview was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adrian McGilvernock didn't get a good kick on the ball. 66 minutes into the match, Edinburgh Pirates AFC's Jeremy Bowman broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Jamie Dunnachie fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joshua McGruer having to interfere. 72 minutes into the match, Seaview's goal looked a bit too open when Dominic Hallyard came free, but Lewis Crozier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Elliot McKelvie fell near the penalty area in the 75th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Edinburgh Pirates AFC's protests and gave Elliot McKelvie a yellow card for diving instead. In the 75th match minute, Edinburgh Pirates AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elliot McKelvie to maneuver through the defense. Lewis Crozier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dominic Hallyard, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. After having played for 88 minutes, Jamie Dunnachie managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Seaview's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jamie Dunnachie was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Edinburgh Pirates AFC's zone, Jamie Dunnachie stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joshua McGruer came out of the goal and Jamie Dunnachie tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice moves Calum Copeland could shoot a difficult shot in the 97th minute, which Lewis Crozier however easily saved by the left post. After 101 minutes of play, Edinburgh Pirates AFC's Dominic Hallyard made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lewis Crozier was left in no man's land by his defense there! The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Edinburgh Pirates AFC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
