Roy Aspin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Michael McGill tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 13th match minute, Kirkliston AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Graham McGuaran to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Kirkliston AFC's zone, Ronan McAdie stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Michael McGill came out of the goal and Ronan McAdie tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Roy Aspin got free with Michael McGill in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Roy Aspins short, quick shot in the 19thth minute got Michael McGill to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Joe McWalrick made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronan McRankin in the 21st minute of play. Alloway AFC's Joe McWalrick played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ronan McRankin in the 23rd minute of play. Graham McGuaran's late challenge caught a Alloway AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Graham McGuaran helped the player get up and apologised. Graham McGuaran hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. When Alloway AFC's Ronan McAdie in the 26th minute got a chance for a shot 26th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Ken Geddes didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronan McRankin in the 31st minute of play forced Alloway AFC's goalkeeper Joe McWalrick to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The long shot by Kevin Swan in the 33rd minute really tested Michael McGill's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. After having played for 34 minutes, Roy Aspin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Alloway AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Roy Aspin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 36th minute Ronan McAdie shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Michael McGill saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 40th minute Douglas Forest shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joe McWalrick saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ronan McAdie to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Douglas Forest ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Joe McWalrick was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Ronan McRankin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Joe McWalrick tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ronan McAdie sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Douglas Forest got free with Joe McWalrick in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ronan McAdie in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Michael McGill saved Kirkliston AFC from getting behind. Ronan McAdie sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Alloway AFC booed when Kirkliston AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Murray Thomson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Douglas Forest could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Joe McWalrick made a huge save. Michael McGill showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roy Aspin in the 92nd minute of the match. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
