Spectators: 6794 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1794, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when George McCaskill got the match started through his kick off. In the 7th minute George McCaskill shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stuart McFarlane saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fergus McMinn fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Darius McLucas having to interfere. 16 minutes into the match, Aviemore FC's goalkeeper Darius McLucas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fergus McMinn. Darius McLucas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ronnie Hewitson, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Ronnie Hewitson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Darius McLucas having to make a save. 27 minutes into the match, Alan Watt notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Glencoe City's Stuart McFarlane. Stuart McFarlane was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Stuart McFarlane stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of George McCaskill's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. After 32 minutes, Ross McAlister mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Glencoe City and the Aviemore FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 32nd minute, Ross McAlister hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Fergus McMinn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alan Watt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Stuart McFarlane tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ronnie Hewitson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Stuart McFarlane made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Alan Watt sent off a good shot on target. George McCaskill fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stuart McFarlane having to interfere. In the 56th minute, Ross McAlister hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by George McCaskill in the 59th minute of play forced Glencoe City's goalkeeper Stuart McFarlane to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alan Watt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stuart McFarlane having to interfere. Alan McGilvernock charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alan McGilvernock the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Glencoe City's Alan McGilvernock got a free kick in the 64th minute. If Ronald McImmey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 70th minute, Paddy Frissell hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. George McCaskill received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Stuart McFarlane came out and tried to block the shot, but George McCaskill slotted it home off the left post making it 0-2 in the 71st minute. In the 74th minute, Glencoe City's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Alan Watt fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 79thth minute of the game George McCaskill who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Glencoe City's Stuart McFarlane was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 83 minutes of play, Glencoe City's Ronnie Hewitson made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Darius McLucas was left in no man's land by his defense there! Alan McGilvernock hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Stuart McFarlane stood somewhat misplaced when George McCaskill came free in front of goal and shot 1-3 to the left of him in the 87 minute. Charlie McCrindle received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Stuart McFarlane tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Glencoe City's Stuart McFarlane got control of the ball when Alan Watt tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Aviemore FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
