The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When the match had gone on for 28 minutes, Phil Skinner took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Drew Addison to make any attempt to save it. In the 32nd minute, Iain McAlister got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 33 minutes, Duncan Robertson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Humbie and the Invergarry United players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Humbie's Duncan Robertson got a free kick in the 33rd minute. In the 37th minute, Iain McAlister got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Phil Skinner received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Drew Addison tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Reece McHendrie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Invergarry United's Drew Addison proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Invergarry United from getting a goal against them. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Drew Addison showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Phil Skinner in the 78th minute of the match. In the 85th match minute, Invergarry United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Billy Summers to maneuver through the defense. Iain McAlister fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gareth McQuartie having to interfere. Invergarry United's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
