Spectators: 6792 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1792, VIP seats: 0) After some careless play in the Stonehaven AFC defense, Ronnie Hewitson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tyler Spittel. The Stonehaven AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tyler Spittel should have stopped the shot. Tyler Spittel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronnie Hewitson in the 6th minute of play. Tyler Spittel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ronnie Hewitson, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Stuart McFarlane made an important save on a dangerous shot by William Barton in the 11th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Patrick McBean during the 12th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 16 minutes into the match, Stonehaven AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Ronnie Hewitson came free, but Tyler Spittel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Fergus McMinn managed to get in a good position for a shot. Glencoe City's supporters rose to their feet, but Fergus McMinn was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tyler Spittel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 30th minute, one of Glencoe City:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Glencoe City. The goalkeeper, Stuart McFarlane, was totally fooled by Stonehaven AFC's Paddy Bontein, who 32 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Stonehaven AFC's Charlie Ewing got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 46th minute Charlie Ewing shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stuart McFarlane saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Charlie Ewing to strike the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alan McGilvernock during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Alan McGilvernock was shown his second yellow card after 54 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After a rather tough play, Glencoe City's Alan McGilvernock got a free kick in the 55th minute. In the 56th minute of the match Paddy Bontein sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Stuart McFarlane skillfully saved the ball. Fergus McMinn fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tyler Spittel having to interfere. Paddy Frissell blasted a shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tyler Spittel having to make a save. The supporters of Glencoe City booed when Stonehaven AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patrick McBean didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Ken Landers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Stuart McFarlane showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Charlie Ewing, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Fergus McMinn fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tyler Spittel having to interfere. Stonehaven AFC's Tyler Spittel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save Stonehaven AFC from getting a goal against them. After 75 played minutes Stonehaven AFC got a freekick which was hit by Greg McKinney. Stuart McFarlane showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Charlie Ewing in the 81st minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Glencoe City's zone, William Barton stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Stuart McFarlane came out of the goal and William Barton tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Stonehaven AFC's Charlie Ewing got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Charlie Ewing came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Stonehaven AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Charlie Ewing couldn't finish the play.
