In the 31stth minute of the game William Barton who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Invergarry United's Drew Addison was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Invergarry United getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Dougal McAdam hit a great ball. 33 minutes into the game, Stonehaven AFC's Charlie Ewing nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Drew Addison made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Iain McAlisters short, quick shot in the 47thth minute got Tyler Spittel to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Charlie Ewing made a kick off. After 53 minutes Invergarry United's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Paddy Bontein who took care of the corner kick. If Charlie Ewing had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 60th minute of the match Paddy Bontein shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Drew Addison showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. A collision led to Invergarry United getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Billy Summers hit a great ball. If Iain McAlister had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 79 minutes into the game, Dougal McAdam was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Invergarry United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Stonehaven AFC the free kick. Dougal McAdam hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. If Iain McAlister had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Iain McAlister blasted a shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tyler Spittel having to make a save. When the final whistle went the supporters of Stonehaven AFC were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Invergarry United side.
