Leven's Ronnie McKinnon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ewan McConochie in the 38th minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rob McGillegowie stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Leven's Calum Buckley sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Irvin Boyd narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 84th minute, Rob McGillegowie got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Calum Buckley received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Irvin Boyd tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Irvin Boyd took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rob McGillegowie, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The The Alfordigans FC support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
