Seating: 1777, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Malcolm Durrant started the match with the kick off. Jack Pearson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thomas Alderson having to interfere. David McCraw sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 19 minutes into the match, Wick's goal looked a bit too open when David McCraw came free, but Thomas Alderson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marcus McCansh fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marc Howison having to interfere. Thomas Alderson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jack Pearson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marc Howison had great luck who in the 25thth minute grab hold of the ball when Malcolm Durrant from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. When David McCraw came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Insch City fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that David McCraw couldn't finish the play. Marcus McCansh received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Marc Howison tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 34th minute of the match Steve Russell sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Marc Howison skillfully saved the ball. If David McCraw had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gary Barbour kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Marc Howison made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gary Barbour in the 45th minute. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.
The wind increased when David McCraw made the kick off in the second half. Steve Russell kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. In the 71st minute, Jack Pearson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Insch City fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Lloyd Kinnieson hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. After 79 minutes of play, Wick's Marcus McCansh made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marc Howison was left in no man's land by his defense there! 85 minutes into the match, Wick's goalkeeper Thomas Alderson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jack Pearson. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lloyd Kinnieson got free with Thomas Alderson in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If David McCraw had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marc Howison showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcus McCansh in the 94th minute of the match.
