Jordan Gowan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Greg Collier, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. If Malcolm McAldonich had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Greg Collier was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 17th minute. Latheron United's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. When the match clock showed 17 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Larry McCeallaich sped through Alloway's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jordan Gowan. If Larry McCeallaich had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nigel Doles took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alex Alexander, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nigel Doles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alex Alexander in the 24th minute of play. After 25 played minutes Latheron United got a freekick which was hit by Rick Lowson. After recieving a nice pass, Latheron United's Gregor Gibson tried to score from far away in the 29th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 34th minute Greg Collier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jordan Gowan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jordan Gowan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Greg Collier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jordan Gowan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Greg Collier, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Latheron United's Greg Collier got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alex Alexander in the 41st minute of play forced Latheron United's goalkeeper Nigel Doles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alloway's Jordan Gowan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save Alloway from getting a goal against them. In the 46th minute, Larry McCeallaich got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Greg Collier struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Jordan Gowan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Latheron United. Alloway's Jordan Gowan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Greg Collier in the 62nd minute of play. Nigel Doles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Malcolm McAldonich in the 65th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Latheron United's Larry McCeallaich got a free kick in the 68th minute. In the 79th minute, Rick Lowson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 80 minutes in the game, Malcolm McAldonich dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. In the 87th minute Rick Lowson suffered a foot injury and had to be helped off the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eric McCammond during the 87th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 88 played minutes Alloway got a freekick which was hit by Eric McCammond. Malcolm McAldonich received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Nigel Doles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
