The wind increased when Alisdair Blackburn made the kick off in the second half. When Barry Gowan came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Canonbie fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Barry Gowan couldn't finish the play. Simon Whannell stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Barry Gowan's shot from short distance in the 77th minute. In the 79th minute, Alisdair Blackburn got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Simon Whannell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Barry Gowan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice moves Elliot Dyce could shoot a difficult shot in the 99th minute, which Simon Whannell however easily saved by the left post.
