In the 5th minute the ball was on its way in behind Castle Rock Blue Knights's goalkeeper Vinny Dawson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Irvin McGhie received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Vinny Dawson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 14 minutes into the match, Castle Rock Blue Knights's goal looked a bit too open when Irvin McGhie came free, but Vinny Dawson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Derek Banks kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. In the 26th minute Jeremy Leitch shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vinny Dawson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 34 minutes into the game, Liam Lorne was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Castle Rock Blue Knights's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ballachulish the free kick. Max Kean sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 47 minutes, Kevin Loudoun mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ballachulish and the Castle Rock Blue Knights players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 47th match minute, Ballachulish was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kevin Loudoun to maneuver through the defense. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Rupert Stringer made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Max Kean in the 55th minute of play forced Ballachulish's goalkeeper Stephen McCormick to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Mark Eadie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 63rd minute, Jeremy Leitch fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Vinny Dawson, passed just outside the right post. Kyle Kinnell hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. 68 minutes into the match, Castle Rock Blue Knights's goal looked a bit too open when Irvin McGhie came free, but Vinny Dawson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ballachulish's Jeremy Leitch was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 70th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Vinny Dawson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jordan McKellachie in the 77th minute of play. In the 78th minute, Liam Lorne hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kyle McCorkle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Castle Rock Blue Knights's zone, Irvin McGhie stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vinny Dawson came out of the goal and Irvin McGhie tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ballachulish's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
