Menstrie's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Garve AFC the free kick. Frank Forsyth hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Darius Spence was the one to do the kick off. When Harry McAldonich came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Menstrie fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Harry McAldonich couldn't finish the play. Stephen McNeilly charged in rather forcefully in the 75th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. In the 94th minute, Jay McQuire hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Garve AFC's Robin Alderson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save Garve AFC from getting a goal against them. For all the effort they put into the match, the Menstrie players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Garve AFC.
