Spectators: 6794 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1794, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Reece Neish got the match started through his kick off. Luke Rusk kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. In the 11th minute the ball was on its way in behind Garve AFC's goalkeeper Robin Alderson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Darius Spence fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tom Bartholomew having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mike Craig got free with Robin Alderson in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tom Bartholomew showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Darius Spence, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. If Reece Neish had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mike Craig fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robin Alderson having to interfere. Sean Porter charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sean Porter the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Garve AFC booed when Appin was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sean Porter didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jay McQuire received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Tom Bartholomew tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Appin's Logan Cole got a free kick in the 34th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Reece Neish in the 36th minute of play forced Garve AFC's goalkeeper Robin Alderson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 37 minutes, Reece Neish managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Appin's supporters crossed their fingers, but Reece Neish was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tom Bartholomew showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jay McQuire in the 41st minute of the match. Reece Neish fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robin Alderson having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Darius Spence was the one to do the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Garve AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Logan Cole came free, but Robin Alderson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jay McQuire struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Tom Bartholomew didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Garve AFC. After a defensive mix-up in Appin's zone, Jay McQuire stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tom Bartholomew came out of the goal and Jay McQuire tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Darius Spence received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Tom Bartholomew tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Appin's zone, Jay McQuire stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tom Bartholomew came out of the goal and Jay McQuire tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tom Bartholomew made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Darius Spence in the 81st minute of play. When Darius Spence came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Garve AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Darius Spence couldn't finish the play. In the 86th minute, Stephen McNeilly hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Appin's Reece Neish in the 90th minute got a chance for a shot 90th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Garve AFC's goalie prevented a goal. Michael Connelly kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. Garve AFC were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Appin to leave the ground with a draw.
