But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Charlie McLerie couldn't finish the play. Robin Alderson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Norman Gorrie in the 6th minute of play. In the 8thth minute of the game Jay McQuire who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ¢rคຊฯ ēງງ f¢'s Fergus Revie was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Garve AFC's Eric Greenlaw got a free kick in the 9th minute. In the 10th minute, Ben Tyre sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Garve AFC's Robin Alderson didn't even have to move. After 13 played minutes Garve AFC got a freekick which was hit by David McInnes. Ben Tyre was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 14th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. A collision led to ¢rคຊฯ ēງງ f¢ getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Charlie McLerie hit a great ball. With a little luck, Garve AFC's Robin Alderson got control of the ball when Sam McPhedran tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 32nd minute, Norman Gorrie got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 34thth minute of the game Darius Spence who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ¢rคຊฯ ēງງ f¢'s Fergus Revie was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Darius Spence received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Fergus Revie tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Norman Gorrie sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The wind increased when Darius Spence made the kick off in the second half. Darius Spence recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 55 minutes into the game, Ben Tyre was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. ¢rคຊฯ ēງງ f¢'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Garve AFC the free kick. The supporters of Garve AFC booed when ¢rคຊฯ ēງງ f¢ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ben Tyre didn't get a good kick on the ball. Stephen Saunders kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. When Norman Gorrie came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the ¢rคຊฯ ēງງ f¢ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Norman Gorrie couldn't finish the play. Norman Gorrie fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robin Alderson having to interfere. Edmond Kennedy charged in rather forcefully in the 96th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Edmond Kennedy the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 96th minute, Edmond Kennedy hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
