The referee ignored Galashiels FC's protests and gave Harold Ellwood a yellow card for diving instead. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Andy Baxter made a kick off. In the 52nd minute Andy Baxter shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Freddie Forester saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Arrochar AFC's Jamie Griesck in the 58th minute got a chance for a shot 58th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Matt McHendrie kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Freddie Forester made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andy Baxter in the 70th minute of play. Stevie Connall who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 72ndth minute tested the skills of Freddie Forester when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The crowd rose to their feet as Galashiels FC's Andy Baxter slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Freddie Forester. That made the score 0-2 after 73 minutes of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christopher Coull in the 79th minute of play forced Galashiels FC's goalkeeper Elliot Forrister to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ivan McIssac sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Andy Baxter received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Freddie Forester tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Larry Bontine took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 94th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Freddie Forester. Arrochar AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The Galashiels FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Galashiels FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
