Spectators: 6778 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1778, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Christopher Coull took the kick off in the first half of the match. 10 minutes into the match, Arrochar AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Roddie Lindsay came free, but Freddie Forester reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Stuart Hawthorn succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 14th playminute. The crowd rose to their feet as Roddie Lindsay kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Freddie Forester. That made the score 2-0 in the 25 minute of play. In the 35th minute, Ivan McIssac got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Roddie Lindsay received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Freddie Forester tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Roddie Lindsay sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Ronan Paterson hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Ivan McIssac struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Tim Wilkinson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Arrochar AFC. 69 minutes into the match, Arrochar AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Nathan Gowan came free, but Freddie Forester reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Stuart Hawthorn fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Freddie Forester having to interfere. Christopher Coull was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 74th minute. Arrochar AFC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After having played for 77 minutes, Stuart Hawthorn managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cockburnspath's supporters crossed their fingers, but Stuart Hawthorn was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Stuart Hawthorn charged in rather forcefully in the 81st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Stuart Hawthorn the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 81 played minutes Cockburnspath got a freekick which was hit by Stuart Hawthorn. Ivan McIssac struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Tim Wilkinson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Arrochar AFC. With a little luck, Cockburnspath's Tim Wilkinson got control of the ball when Ivan McIssac tried to sneak it across the goal line. Roddie Lindsay sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Arrochar AFC defense, Stuart Hawthorn kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Freddie Forester. The Arrochar AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Freddie Forester should have stopped the shot. Cockburnspath were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Arrochar AFC for a fine match.
