Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) With a couple of smart ball manuevers Patrick McCansh in the 4th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Munro McCalmont saved McLaren Academy FC from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patrick McCansh in the 6th minute of play forced McLaren Academy FC's goalkeeper Munro McCalmont to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Patrick McCansh in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Munro McCalmont saved McLaren Academy FC from getting behind. Christopher Corstorphine made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sean Connall in the 9th minute. Patrick McCansh recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Taynuilt's Brian Home suffered a sore thigh after 19 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Vincent McAngus's late challenge caught a Taynuilt's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vincent McAngus helped the player get up and apologised. In the 20th minute, Vincent McAngus hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Raymond Lamb took the ball and in the 21 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Munro McCalmont. Munro McCalmont dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aiden Dobson in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Christopher Corstorphine saved Taynuilt from getting behind. In the 31st minute, Frankie McGilvra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, McLaren Academy FC's Raymond Rome tried to score from far away in the 32nd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Raymond Lamb blasted a shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Munro McCalmont having to make a save. If Raymond Lamb had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 43rd minute, Frankie McGilvra got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Raymond Lamb might have been able to make a better finish in the 44th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Munro McCalmont. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Raymond Lamb ran back to his position shaking his head. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Aiden Dobson to strike the kick off in the second half. Christopher Corstorphine took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aiden Dobson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aiden Dobson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 66th minute, Jacob Reidfurd hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dean McCarter's late challenge caught a McLaren Academy FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dean McCarter helped the player get up and apologised. In the 70th minute, one of Taynuilt:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Taynuilt. Archie McAy kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Raymond Lamb sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 80th minute, Raymond Lamb got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Benjamin McRobie's late challenge caught a Taynuilt's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Christopher Corstorphine made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sean Connall in the 87th minute of play. Frankie McGilvra charged in rather forcefully in the 88th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Frankie McGilvra the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Frankie McGilvra hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Aiden Dobson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.
