Spectators: 6786 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1786, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Aidan McNey started the match with the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Darius McClymont in the 2nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Connor McOran saved Tain from getting behind. 4 minutes into the match, Forsinard United's goalkeeper Darius Forrest had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Frank Castle. In the 6th minute, Kenneth Morton had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. After 6 minutes, Aidan McNey mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tain and the Forsinard United players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Forsinard United booed when Tain was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aidan McNey didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ben Garrow fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Connor McOran having to interfere. Connor McOran took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wayne McIver, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 14th minute, Ben Garrow got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Walter Thomson charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Walter Thomson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Forsinard United's Walter Thomson got a free kick in the 15th minute. Aidan McNey received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Darius Forrest tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 21 minutes, Ben Garrow put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Connor McOran. Connor McOran showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ben Garrow, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Ben Garrow recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Darius Forrest showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frank Castle in the 30th minute of the match. Ben Garrow sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Connor McOran made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ben Garrow in the 35th minute of play. When Frank Castle came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Tain fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Frank Castle couldn't finish the play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ben Garrow stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 51 minutes, Gus Morrison mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tain and the Forsinard United players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 51 played minutes Tain got a freekick which was hit by Gus Morrison. The crowd rose to their feet as Ben Garrow kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Connor McOran. That made the score 0-2 in the 53 minute of play. With his leg Connor McOran managed to avoid a goal in the 56thth minute, when Forsinard United's Ben Garrow fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Wayne McIver during the 60th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Forsinard United getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Wayne McIver hit a great ball. 67 minutes into the match, Tain's goalkeeper Connor McOran had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ben Garrow. Forsinard United's Darius Forrest played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aidan McNey in the 70th minute of play. Darius Forrest showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aidan McNey, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Tain's Frank Castle got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 78 minutes into the game, Eddie Beresford was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Forsinard United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tain the free kick. After a rather tough play, Forsinard United's Eddie Beresford got a free kick in the 78th minute. Frank Castle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Darius Forrest having to interfere. Darius Forrest didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Aidan McNey went, in the 83rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Tain's Gus Morrison got his second yellow card of the match in the 88th minute. The referee ordered Gus Morrison off the ground. After a rather tough play, Tain's Gus Morrison got a free kick in the 89th minute. In the 94th minute, Ben Garrow got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Forsinard United players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
