After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Benjamin McAdie managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Renoresa's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sylwester Czajkowski was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Stephen Donleavy did an outstanding performance 49 minutes into the match, when he by himself got past the opposing team's defense and with a quick scored 3-0 to the right of an irritated Ace Kilgore in the goal.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jimmy Smith made a kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jimmy Smith got free with Ronnie McKelloch in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 58th match minute, Forsinard was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rod Fife to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Andrew Green's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ace Kilgore was relentless in the 67th minute of the game.
