Mallaig FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ronan Cunningham was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hugh McErracher breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Timothy Huntly sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ronan Cunningham succeeded in the game's 26th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-0. The supporters of Lochailort booed when Mallaig FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Timothy Huntly didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 34 minutes, Guy Scott managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lochailort's supporters crossed their fingers, but Guy Scott was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 35th match minute, Mallaig FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Timothy Huntly to maneuver through the defense. In the 38th minute Ciaran McPhater shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joshua Kinnell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Mallaig FC's Mike Thain in the 39th minute got a chance for a shot 39th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Lochailort's goalie prevented a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mike Thain in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hugh McErracher saved Lochailort from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mike Thain in the 46th minute of play forced Lochailort's goalkeeper Hugh McErracher to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 49 minutes into the match, Mallaig FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ciaran McPhater came free, but Joshua Kinnell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mike Thain made a kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Oliver Meine during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Hugh McErracher showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ronan Cunningham in the 59th minute of the match. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Ciaran McPhater recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
