Spectators: 6791 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1791, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Liam Tonnochy started the match with the kick off. After 4 minutes, Liam Tonnochy mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the RAVENCLAW and the Mallaig FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 4th match minute, RAVENCLAW was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Liam Tonnochy to maneuver through the defense. In the 12thth minute of the game Liam Tonnochy who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mallaig FC's Joshua Kinnell was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Mike Thain received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Pavel Kalinin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Mallaig FC defense, Nicky McOran kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Joshua Kinnell. The Mallaig FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Joshua Kinnell should have stopped the shot. RAVENCLAW's Pavel Kalinin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mike Thain in the 25th minute of play. If Mike Thain had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. RAVENCLAW's Pavel Kalinin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save RAVENCLAW from getting a goal against them. 27 minutes into the game, Roddie McCuag was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. RAVENCLAW's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mallaig FC the free kick. Roddie McCuag hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Bruce McIndoe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Joshua Kinnell tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bruce McIndoe in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Joshua Kinnell saved Mallaig FC from getting behind. Bruce McIndoe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Joshua Kinnell tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 42 minutes into the match, Mike Thain dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Pavel Kalinin, 1-1. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mike Thain stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Mallaig FC's Joshua Kinnell got control of the ball when Bruce McIndoe tried to sneak it across the goal line. Joshua Kinnell didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Liam Tonnochy went, in the 56th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Pavel Kalinin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mike Thain, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. After having played for 66 minutes, Ronan Cunningham managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mallaig FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ronan Cunningham was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ronan Cunningham fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pavel Kalinin having to interfere. Mike Thain sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Mallaig FC defense, Bruce McIndoe kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Joshua Kinnell. The Mallaig FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Joshua Kinnell should have stopped the shot. RAVENCLAW's Bruce McIndoe got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 91 played minutes Mallaig FC got a freekick which was hit by Terence Garrow. In the 92nd minute, Harold McPhedron sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Mallaig FC's Joshua Kinnell didn't even have to move. Bruce McIndoe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The RAVENCLAW supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing RAVENCLAW would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
