In the 22nd minute Nathan Sorely shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Richard Sherry saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bonnybridge United's Nathan Sorely got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bonnybridge United's Larry French proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Bonnybridge United from getting a goal against them. 32 minutes into the match, Ewan McCeallaich notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Laurencekirk AFC's Richard Sherry. Richard Sherry was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Nathan Sorely had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Richard Sherry took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ewan McCeallaich, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Steve Fostar kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match.

Without hesitation aimed to the right of Richard Sherry, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. When Henry McKail came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Laurencekirk AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Henry McKail couldn't finish the play. Larry French stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Henry McKail's shot from short distance in the 68th minute. Bonnybridge United's Ewan McCeallaich got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Bonnybridge United's Nathan Sorely got a free kick in the 81st minute. With a little luck, Laurencekirk AFC's Richard Sherry got control of the ball when Nathan Sorely tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Ewan McCeallaich came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Bonnybridge United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ewan McCeallaich couldn't finish the play. In the 91st minute, Jamie Gaunson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Steve Fostar didn't quite understand what happened when in the 93 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. Bonnybridge United's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
