Kirkliston's Iain Polson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmond McNuyer in the 16th minute of play. Edmond McNuyer struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Iain Polson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Brora FC. Kirkliston's Danny McCanish got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Innes McKeith didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Kirkliston's Danny McCanish shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-0 in the ordered_time% minute. Iain Polson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronald McKean in the 29th minute of play. Iain Polson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Steven Kean in the 32nd minute of the match. Irvin Burdon could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Innes McKeith made a huge save. In the 44th minute, Steven Kean hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

60 minutes into the match, Brora FC's goal looked a bit too open when Irvin Burdon came free, but Innes McKeith reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Irvin Burdon managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kirkliston's supporters rose to their feet, but Irvin Burdon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Innes McKeith breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 74th minute Danny McCanish shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Innes McKeith saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alistair Nixon succeeded in the game's 77th minute to get real power on a long shot . Brora FC's Innes McKeith hadn't the time to block the shot which was pasted into the goal, 3-0! 88 minutes into the game, Kirkliston's Irvin Burdon nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Innes McKeith made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. Irvin Burdon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Innes McKeith having to interfere. With his leg Iain Polson managed to avoid a goal in the 95thth minute, when Brora FC's Ronald McKean fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. If Danny McCanish had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kirkliston's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
