Edmond McNuyer started the match with the kick off. Lee McIan kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. Newtonmore's Callum McQuoid proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to save Newtonmore from getting a goal against them. Ken Armitage received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Innes McKeith tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Ken Armitage had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 16 minutes, Lewis McNeilly mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Brora FC and the Newtonmore players grew even worse after the yellow card. Lewis McNeilly kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. In the 18th minute Newtonmore were awarded a corner. Lee McIan went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Newtonmore's Lee McIan to fire away a dangerous shot which Innes McKeith despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Ken Armitage managed to get in a good position for a shot. Newtonmore's supporters rose to their feet, but Ken Armitage was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Innes McKeith breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Innes McKeith showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonathan Richardson, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Jake McGilroy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Innes McKeith tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ronald McKean got free with Callum McQuoid in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Edmond McNuyer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Callum McQuoid tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Newtonmore's Ken Armitage in the 34th minute got a chance for a shot 34th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Brora FC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 40th match minute, Newtonmore was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Martin McWalter to maneuver through the defense. Newtonmore's Callum McQuoid played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmond McNuyer in the 48th minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jonathan Richardson made a kick off. If Ronald McKean had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 57 minutes into the game, Owen McAllan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Newtonmore's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Brora FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Newtonmore's Owen McAllan got a free kick in the 57th minute. Jonathan Richardson charged in rather forcefully in the 61st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jonathan Richardson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 61st minute, Jonathan Richardson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ronald McKean struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Callum McQuoid didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Brora FC. Innes McKeith made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Ken Armitage sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Brora FC getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Lewis McNeilly hit a great ball. 66 minutes into the match, Ken Armitage notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Brora FC's Innes McKeith. Innes McKeith was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 71st minute, Jonathan Richardson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Newtonmore getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Jake McGilroy hit a great ball. If Edmond McNuyer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ken Armitage could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Innes McKeith made a huge save. Jonathan Richardson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 84th minute, Edmond McNuyer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 86th minute Edmond McNuyer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Callum McQuoid saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jonathan Richardson struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Innes McKeith didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Newtonmore. The supporters of Newtonmore booed when Brora FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Steven Kean didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jonathan Richardson struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Innes McKeith didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Newtonmore. When Edmond McNuyer came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Brora FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edmond McNuyer couldn't finish the play. The Newtonmore players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
