Seating: 1778, VIP seats: 154) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Tom Lindsay took the kick off in the first half of the match. Shane Gilchrist recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 7th match minute, BASXTHER UNITED FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Will Fyfe to maneuver through the defense. If Shane Gilchrist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Shane Gilchrist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Keith Alistair having to interfere. If Tom Lindsay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 16th minute Shane Gilchrist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Keith Alistair saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by William Fullarton in the 19th minute of play forced Glasgow United FC's goalkeeper Taylor Greenlaw to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 21st minute, Stevie Cleland hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 22 minutes into the match, Gavin Archibald sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Taylor Greenlaw threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Gavin Archibald this time. Taylor Greenlaw showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from William Fullarton in the 24th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in BASXTHER UNITED FC's zone, Shane Gilchrist stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Keith Alistair came out of the goal and Shane Gilchrist tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If John Carson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. William Fullarton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by William Fullarton in the 39th minute of play forced Glasgow United FC's goalkeeper Taylor Greenlaw to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 40 minutes into the match, BASXTHER UNITED FC's William Fullarton sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Taylor Greenlaw narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
After 51 played minutes Glasgow United FC got a freekick which was hit by Stevie Cleland. Shane Gilchrist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. William Fullarton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 59 minutes into the game, Glasgow United FC's Shane Gilchrist nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Keith Alistair made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Shane Gilchrist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 66th minute Tom Lindsay clashed with another player. He fell to the ground and was in great pain. It was obvious that he couldn't finish the game. 66 minutes into the game, Andrew Baptist was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. BASXTHER UNITED FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Glasgow United FC the free kick. In the 67th match minute, BASXTHER UNITED FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andrew Baptist to maneuver through the defense. In the 71st minute, Shane Gilchrist got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, William Fullarton managed to get in a good position for a shot. BASXTHER UNITED FC's supporters rose to their feet, but William Fullarton was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Taylor Greenlaw breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 74th match minute, Glasgow United FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bradley Ogilvie to maneuver through the defense. In the 76th minute, John Carson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The BASXTHER UNITED FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling John Carson in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Taylor Greenlaw prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If John Carson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The attack was good, but when John Carson in the 89th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Taylor Greenlaw stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of William Fullarton's shot from short distance in the 93rd minute. Shane Gilchrist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Keith Alistair having to interfere. When the referee blew the final whistle, BASXTHER UNITED FC could leave the field as winners, despite Glasgow United FC having more of the ball for most of the match.
