The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Vincent Cook stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Connor Young could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Keith Alistair made a huge save. In the 56th minute of the match Brandon Dingwall shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Keith Alistair showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 57 minutes into the game, one of Ayr:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Ayr:s William Collier showed great skill when he stopped Gavin Archibald:s penalty. After some careless play in the Ayr defense, Gavin Archibald kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of William Collier. The Ayr fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that William Collier should have stopped the shot. John Carson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without William Collier having to make a save. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
