Seating: 1810, VIP seats: 0) Ian McNeil started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After 5 played minutes Derek Bell Sunlights got a freekick which was hit by Greg McGruer. After recieving a nice pass, Dalbeattie's Craig Morrison tried to score from far away in the 5th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Andy McNuir made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oliver Henderson in the 10th minute of play. Lewis Combie scored 1-0 in the 13th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Andy McNuir, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 17th minute, Oliver Henderson fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Andy McNuir, passed just outside the right post. Oliver Henderson struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Andy McNuir didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dalbeattie. In the 29th minute the ball was on its way in behind Dalbeattie's goalkeeper Dean McMurray, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Dean McMurray showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ian McNeil, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Nicky Gilbride kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.
The wind increased when Oliver Henderson made the kick off in the second half. Andy McNuir made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oliver Henderson in the 51st minute of play. Andy McNuir showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lewis Combie, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. The supporters of Dalbeattie booed when Derek Bell Sunlights was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Greg McGruer didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 55th minute Oliver Henderson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andy McNuir saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 57 played minutes Dalbeattie got a freekick which was hit by Blair McNeish. 59 minutes into the game, Ian McNeil cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Dean McMurray was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Derek Bell Sunlights's Andy McNuir played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oliver Henderson in the 68th minute of play. Andy McNuir showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lewis Combie, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. In the 70th minute, Lewis Combie got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Oliver Henderson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Andy McNuir tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Craig Morrison managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dalbeattie's supporters rose to their feet, but Craig Morrison was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Andy McNuir breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lewis Combie sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 81 minutes into the match, Dalbeattie's Oliver Henderson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Andy McNuir narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Andy McNuir made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lewis Combie in the 84th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Oliver Henderson in the 92nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Andy McNuir saved Derek Bell Sunlights from getting behind. Despite being the better team, Dalbeattie failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
