Spectators: 6812 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1812, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Oliver Henderson took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 3rd minute, Reece McIldowie got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Wayne Adamson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Dean McMurray tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Reece McIldowie sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Skelmorlie's Reece McIldowie got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dean McMurray made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wayne Adamson in the 15th minute of play. After 15 played minutes Dalbeattie got a freekick which was hit by Edward Taylor. Wayne Adamson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Dean McMurray tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lewis Combie got free with Terry McAngus in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dean McMurray took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Reece McIldowie, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Edward Taylor kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Terry McAngus showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oliver Henderson, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. A collision led to Skelmorlie getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Daniel Kilgour hit a great ball. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind Dalbeattie's goalkeeper Dean McMurray, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Norman Roy kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. In the 44th minute, Wayne Adamson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Wayne Adamson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Dalbeattie getting a freekick after 48 minutes play. Lewis Combie hit a great ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Edward Taylor hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. 64 minutes into the match, Lewis Combie notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Skelmorlie's Terry McAngus. Terry McAngus was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Lewis Combie's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Terry McAngus read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. Lewis Combie received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Terry McAngus tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Terry McAngus took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lewis Combie, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Terry McAngus came out of the goal in the 90th minute to try and stop a shot by Dalbeattie's Oliver Henderson. But to his dismay, Oliver Henderson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. After a rather tough play, Dalbeattie's Dean Chisholm got a free kick in the 93rd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Reece McIldowie got free with Dean McMurray in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Dalbeattie fans cheered their team off the field, for while Skelmorlie had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
