Spectators: 6775 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1775, VIP seats: 0) Kilmacolm FC's Marcus McCuish started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 6th minute, Terence McRae hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thomas McKinnell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Vincent Sorely tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thomas McKinnell in the 12th minute of play forced Kilmacolm FC's goalkeeper Vincent Sorely to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thomas McKinnell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ron Huntly was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 15th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Vincent Sorely came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by Harris United's Thomas McKinnell. But to his dismay, Thomas McKinnell quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Timmy McMaster took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ciaran Yule, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ciaran Yule fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Timmy McMaster having to interfere. 25 minutes into the match, Harris United's goal looked a bit too open when Marcus McCuish came free, but Timmy McMaster reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Harris United getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Declan Barnfather hit a great ball. In the 38th minute, Robin Jameson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thomas McKinnell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vincent Sorely having to interfere. Ciaran Yule received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Timmy McMaster tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vincent Sorely made an important save on a dangerous shot by Thomas McKinnell in the 48th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Graeme Meine made a kick off. Kilmacolm FC's Benjamin McCammon shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 55th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Timmy McMaster but with some difficulty. In the 56th minute Graeme Meine shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vincent Sorely saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ciaran Yule fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Timmy McMaster having to interfere. Marcus McCuish received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Timmy McMaster tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Ciaran Yule had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Greig Carter's late challenge caught a Kilmacolm FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Greig Carter helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Harris United's Greig Carter got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Ciaran Yule fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Timmy McMaster having to interfere. Timmy McMaster was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Marcus McCuish showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 66 minute of play. If Graeme Meine had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 74th minute Thomas McKinnell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vincent Sorely saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thomas McKinnell recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Marcus McCuish fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Timmy McMaster having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Marcus McCuish managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kilmacolm FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Marcus McCuish was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Timmy McMaster breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ciaran Yule struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Timmy McMaster didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kilmacolm FC. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Harris United fans cheered their team off the field, for while Kilmacolm FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
