With a couple of smart ball manuevers John McWhannell in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mike McColman saved Dalmally City from getting behind. Dalmally City's defense didn't have a chance, in the 13th minute, when Guy Simson scored to the left of an out of position Mike McColman, making the score, 1-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fergus Dyer in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Martin Williamson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 20 minutes into the match, Dalmally City's goal looked a bit too open when John McWhannell came free, but Mike McColman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 26 played minutes Dalmally City got a freekick which was hit by Lee McShannachan. 27 minutes in the game Irvin McKiggan after having made a beautiful turn got a great opportunity to score and fired away a shot that went just to the left past a relieved Mike McColman. A very good opportunity. If Fergus Dyer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Matt Farquharson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fergus Dyer was the one to do the kick off. After having played for 65 minutes, John McWhannell managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lochboisdale's supporters crossed their fingers, but John McWhannell was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
