Roy Colyear's late challenge caught a Lochboisdale's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Roy Colyear helped the player get up and apologised. Timmy McMaster showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from John McWhannell, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Martin Williamson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Graeme Meine in the 15th minute of play. Thomas McKinnell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Martin Williamson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Martin Williamson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Graeme Meine in the 20th minute of the match. Timmy McMaster took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from John McWhannell, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Graeme Meine's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Martin Williamson was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matt Farquharson in the 29th minute of play forced Harris United's goalkeeper Timmy McMaster to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Declan Barnfather kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Declan Barnfather during the 33rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Harris United's Timmy McMaster played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by John McWhannell in the 34th minute of play. If Graeme Meine had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 38 minutes into the match, Lochboisdale's John McWhannell sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Timmy McMaster narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Martin Williamson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Graeme Meine in the 39th minute of play. Timmy McMaster showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Matt Farquharson in the 41st minute of the match. The Harris United fans' excitement grew in the 43rd match minute when Harris United's Graeme Meine looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell John McWhannell to make the kick off. When John McWhannell got free in front of the goal in the 53rd minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Timmy McMaster was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Graeme Meine sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Lochboisdale's Guy Simson got a free kick in the 56th minute. If Graeme Meine had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Lochboisdale's zone, Graeme Meine stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Martin Williamson came out of the goal and Graeme Meine tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 62 minutes into the match, Matt Farquharson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Timmy McMaster. Harris United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Matt Farquharson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. In the 66th minute Graeme Meine shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Martin Williamson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Lochboisdale's zone, Graeme Meine stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Martin Williamson came out of the goal and Graeme Meine tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nigel McDermid hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Graeme Meine in the 73rd minute of play forced Lochboisdale's goalkeeper Martin Williamson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Martin Williamson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Graeme Meine's shot from short distance in the 75th minute. If John McWhannell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Thomas McKinnell's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Martin Williamson was relentless in the 80th minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Matt Farquharson got free with Timmy McMaster in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Matt Farquharson who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 86thth minute tested the skills of Timmy McMaster when he managed to save the team from getting behind. If Matt Farquharson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Matt Farquharson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 97 played minutes, Lochboisdale's Donald Dinwoodie shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Timmy McMaster came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Lochboisdale reached it. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
