Brandon Higginson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Max Harperson, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Colin Anderson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arthur McIan in the 42nd minute of the match. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 47 minutes into the match, Arthur McIan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Colin Anderson. Arbroath's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Arthur McIan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

Tyler Simpson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 76th play minutes Arthur McIan shot 4-0, a short shot which went by Colin Anderson and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 85th minute, Max Harperson reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Brandon Higginson. The goal made the score 4-1. 88 minutes into the game, Joe Hawthorn was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lochboisdale's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Arbroath the free kick. Harry McKay was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 90th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Lochboisdale's Brandon Higginson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Max Harperson in the 92nd minute of play. In the 94th minute Willie Bell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Colin Anderson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Max Harperson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. There was no doubt that Lochboisdale were the better team. Lochboisdale's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
