If James McArthur had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Adrian Jameson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from James McArthur, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Ben Baird sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Adrian Jameson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of James McArthur's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. James McArthur received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Henry Small recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Ian Raith had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Portree booed when United Kingdom Football was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wal McMenzies didn't get a good kick on the ball. United Kingdom Football's Adrian Jameson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by James McArthur in the 52nd minute of play. After the first half Portree were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Henry Small made a kick off. James McArthur could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Adrian Jameson made a huge save. Taylor McKindlay made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Henry Small in the 59th minute of play. Ben Baird received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Adrian Jameson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wal McMenzies's late challenge caught a Portree's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Wal McMenzies helped the player get up and apologised. In the 65th minute, Wal McMenzies hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 66 minutes into the game, one of United Kingdom Football:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Taylor McKindlay made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Henry Small in the 71st minute of play. Adrian Jameson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from James McArthur in the 74th minute of the match. Wal McMenzies got his second yellow card in the match during the 74th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Wal McMenzies hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Henry Small kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, Portree's Frank McCluskie tried to score from far away in the 78th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Portree's James McArthur got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ian Raith sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, James McArthur managed to get in a good position for a shot. Portree's supporters rose to their feet, but James McArthur was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adrian Jameson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. James McArthurs short, quick shot in the 86thth minute got Adrian Jameson to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Ben Baird received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Adrian Jameson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Adrian Jameson was a little too slow when James McArthur got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 89th minute. The score was now 0-3. When the match was over Portree could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than United Kingdom Football throughout the match.
