Spectators: 6792 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1792, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Henry Small kicked off to start the match. 4 minutes into the match Freddie McGown climbed in front of goal and pressed up 1-0 in the right cross behind a totally surprised Adrian Jameson. After some careless play in the Troon defense, Henry Small kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Steve Cooke. The Troon fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Steve Cooke should have stopped the shot. Adrian Jameson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arthur Coutts, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Freddie McGown might have been able to make a better finish in the 17th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Adrian Jameson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Freddie McGown ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, Troon's Freddie McGown got a free kick in the 18th minute. Henry Small fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Steve Cooke having to interfere. Arthur Coutts recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Henry Small in the 31st minute of play forced Troon's goalkeeper Steve Cooke to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 35 minutes in the game, Arthur Coutts fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Adrian Jameson having to interfere. Arthur Coutts's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Adrian Jameson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. Arthur Coutts sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Adrian Jameson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arthur Coutts in the 44th minute of play. After having played for 45 minutes, Henry Small managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. United Kingdom Football's supporters crossed their fingers, but Henry Small was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

After having played for 61 minutes, Freddie McGown managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Troon's supporters crossed their fingers, but Freddie McGown was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Henry Small managed to get in a good position for a shot. United Kingdom Football's supporters rose to their feet, but Henry Small was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Steve Cooke breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Brandon Abbot kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Ian Raith scored 1-2 in the 67th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Steve Cooke, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 76 minutes into the match, Troon's goalkeeper Steve Cooke had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ian Raith. Adrian Jameson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arthur Coutts in the 79th minute of play. Arthur Coutts sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Arthur Coutts had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Adrian Jameson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arthur Coutts, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Adrian Jameson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Freddie McGown in the 95th minute of the match.
