Seating: 1781, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ben Baird started the match with the kick off. Marcus McLaws made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from James McArthur in the 3rd minute of play. When Drummore's Edmond Conlon in the 6th minute got a chance for a shot 6th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Portree's goalie prevented a goal. Edmond Conlon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Taylor McKindlay having to interfere. James McArthur received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Marcus McLaws tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 15 minutes into the match, Portree's Ben Baird sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marcus McLaws narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alan McCause during the 16th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 16th minute, Alan McCause hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Daniel McVicar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. James McArthur fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcus McLaws having to interfere. In the 33rd minute Daniel McVicar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Taylor McKindlay saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. James McArthur struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Marcus McLaws didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Portree. Edmond Conlon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Taylor McKindlay tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
Taylor McKindlay made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Gordon McEachern sent off a good shot on target. Daniel McVicar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Taylor McKindlay having to interfere. In the 68th minute, James McArthur made a precise shot to the right of Marcus McLaws. Drummore's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Marcus McLaws made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from James McArthur in the 73rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Drummore's Joe Ewart got a free kick in the 73rd minute. 74 minutes into the match, James McArthur had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marcus McLaws. Drummore's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that James McArthur was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. When Michael McHugh fell near the penalty area in the 77th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Portree's protests and gave Michael McHugh a yellow card for diving instead. In the 78th minute, Michael McHugh hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alex Craig hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Daniel McVicar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Taylor McKindlay having to interfere. Drummore's Marcus McLaws played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ben Baird in the 95th minute of play. Portree's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
