Seating: 1782, VIP seats: 154) Drummore's Daniel McVicar started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 8th minute, Henry Small fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. When Gordon McEachern came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Drummore fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gordon McEachern couldn't finish the play. Henry Small was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 18th minute. United Kingdom Football's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Ian Raith sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Edmond Conlon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half Drummore were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Henry Small was the one to do the kick off. If Daniel McVicar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Daniel McVicar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Adrian Jameson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Drummore booed when United Kingdom Football was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Henry Small didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 63rd minute, Wal McMenzies hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 65th minute Henry Small shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcus McLaws saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thomas McCartney charged in rather forcefully in the 92nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Thomas McCartney the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Drummore fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 92nd minute. Penalty! In the 94th minute there was a penalty for United Kingdom Football. Timothy Ennis stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Marcus McLaws. 1-3. In the 99th minute, Ian Raith got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Drummore eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
