After having played for 4 minutes, Alexander McPetrie managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kinbrace AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alexander McPetrie was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 8thth minute of the game Logan Milne who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Scottish Highland AFC's Eric McGilchrist was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 11 minutes into the match, Alexander McPetrie notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Scottish Highland AFC's Eric McGilchrist. Eric McGilchrist was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Dean McLea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 16 minutes into the match, Kinbrace AFC's goalkeeper Nathan McLarty had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dean McLea. In the 17th minute, Alexander McPetrie made a precise shot to the right of Eric McGilchrist. Scottish Highland AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. The supporters of Scottish Highland AFC booed when Kinbrace AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Callum Foulis didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 32nd minute Samuel Colyear shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nathan McLarty saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 35th minute, Ivan McSimon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dean McLea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Nathan McLarty tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 40 minutes, Samuel Colyear managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Scottish Highland AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Samuel Colyear was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Kinbrace AFC getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Alexander McPetrie hit a great ball. Nathan McLarty made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dean McLea in the 44th minute. If Alexander McPetrie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half Kinbrace AFC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Kinbrace AFC's Alexander McPetrie got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Samuel Colyear's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nathan McLarty was relentless in the 67th minute of the game. Eddie McKimmie kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. The long shot by Billy Kerracher in the 70th minute really tested Eric McGilchrist's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Scottish Highland AFC's zone, Alexander McPetrie stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eric McGilchrist came out of the goal and Alexander McPetrie tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Eric McGilchrist didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alexander McPetrie went, in the 76th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Eric McGilchrist made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alexander McPetrie in the 81st minute. If Samuel Colyear had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nathan McLarty made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dean McLea in the 84th minute of play. Samuel Colyear recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Samuel Colyear struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Nathan McLarty didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Scottish Highland AFC. After 95 minutes, Adrian Niven mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kinbrace AFC and the Scottish Highland AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Kinbrace AFC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
